FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Volcanic: tall, broad, and wrapped in black, but lit up inside if you get close enough to look. At a glance, Bruce may give the impression that he's not paying attention. He's aloof and imposing and generally silent unless spoken to. For all his passions, intensity, and intelligence, he's gangly and awkward and prone to fumbling conversations. In conversations, he easily goes from seeming disinterested to being almost prying. He cares a lot--just not about putting on airs.

On night shift, the social awkwardness lingers, but in the makeup, the mask, the armor, he moves as naturally and easily as a shadow.

BACKSTORY

The Wayne Family's roots run through Gotham City, in some places disturbing the foundations. For twenty years since his parents death, Bruce has been wrestling with the legacy that rests on his shoulders. How much of it does he protect? How much of it does he shed? How much of it is yet undiscovered?

The Batman is uprooting, pruning, and carving back that legacy with every tool available to him. Fortune and connection, sweat and blood, he works to reconcile the Waynes with Gotham City.
